This is not your typical art teacher blog. This is a humor blog.
You will not find cool lesson plans or pictures of student art work here. There are many other (better) blogs out there where you can find that sort of thing. Here you will be given a glimpse into the everyday life of an elementary art teacher.

This blog is not safe for children.

Twelve

One two three
Four five six
Seven eight nine
Ten eleven twelve
Nose pickers
Came to the Kindergarten art class

One two three
Four five six
Seven eight nine
Ten eleven twelve
And they all sneezed boogies
All over the art room

And then their art teacher felt the twinge. And the twitch. And the tightening of the throat and the running of the nose and the sneezing of the germs and it only took three weeks.

Back to school, gotta love it.

  2. I feel for you!

My first cold of the year came a few weeks back. I was talking to a 5th grade student as he sharpened his pencil.

    Then he sneezed.
    Right. Into. My. Face.

Like clockwork, I was nasty sick by the weekend.

Can I add that I had to wipe a kid's EAR recently? Not his nose... his EAR! It was running... (I called his mom, she said he has had some issues there) REALLY? ;) I assumed as much.
